Solution
Condition Monitoring
Rotating equipment rarely fails without warning — vibration, temperature and noise change weeks before a breakdown. MatrixAI deploys wireless condition-monitoring sensors on critical assets and turns their trends into maintenance decisions.
- What problem do we solve?
- Unplanned downtime of pumps, motors, fans and chillers
- How do we solve it?
- Criticality → Baseline → Trend → Act
- What technologies do we use?
- LoRaWAN, Edge processing, MQTT, REST API
- What can we integrate?
- CMMS / CAFM, BMS, Asset registers, Reliability dashboards
The problem
From reactive maintenance to condition-based maintenance
- Unplanned downtime of pumps, motors, fans and chillers
- Time-based PPM that services healthy equipment and misses failing equipment
- Handheld vibration surveys that are infrequent and labour-intensive
- No early warning before bearing, alignment or imbalance failures
Our approach
How we solve it
- 1
Criticality
Rank assets by consequence of failure and select the right sensing per asset.
- 2
Baseline
Install sensors, capture healthy operating signatures and set thresholds.
- 3
Trend
Track vibration, temperature and electrical parameters over time.
- 4
Act
Raise condition-based work orders before failure, not after.

FAQ
Condition Monitoring — questions
Can wireless vibration sensors replace a full vibration analysis programme?
They complement it. Wireless sensors provide continuous trending and early warning on many assets at low cost; detailed spectrum analysis is still used for diagnosis of complex faults.
How long do battery-powered condition sensors last?
Battery life depends on reporting interval and the amount of data sent. We size the reporting strategy with you during design so that battery life fits the maintenance cycle.
